 A Winning Spree at Zonals for GTB 3rd Centenary

The budding scientists of Guru Tegh Bahadur 3^rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi, participated enthusiastically in a number of zonal competitions. The 1^st prize in the Science Quiz on ‘Global Warming’ was bagged by Harmeet Singh, Karandeep Singh and Prabhpreet Singh of Std. XII. Harshvardhan Singh and Sirjan Kaur of Std. VIII were the proud recipients of the 1^st prize in Children Science Congress. Shireen Singh and Vivek Kumar of Std. XI also did the school proud by winning the 1^st prize (Sr) in the National Science Seminar on ‘Periodic Table’. In Poster Making, Slogan and Scientoon Competition, Akshat Sharma of Std. XI bagged the 1^st prize (Sr) in Poster Making while Tamanna of Std. V did the school proud by winning the 1^st prize in sub –Jr category. Harleen Kaur of Std. IX won the 2^nd prize in Scientoon Competition while the school bagged the 2^nd prize (Sr) in Slogan Writing Competition. Sneha Ghai, Pahulpreet Kaur, Harliv Kaur, Jatin Bora of Std. X along with Sirjan Kaur, Harshvardhan Singh, Dilpreet Kaur and Kulraj Kaur of Std. IX brought laurels to the school by winning the 2^nd prize in Science Drama on the theme “Clean and Green Energy”. In the Zonal Science Debate (Sr), Prabhjot Singh of Std. X, bagged the 2^nd prize while Sehajdeep Kaur, Std. X won the 3^rd prize.

Prabhjot Singh and Gagandeep Singh of Std. X brought laurels to the school by winning 1^st prize in the Zonal English Debate Competition (Sr). In the Jr category, Prahlad Malhotra and Japjot Singh of Std. VIII won the 2^nd prize. Harshvardhan of Std. IX did the school proud by winning the 1^st prize in the Zonal English Declamation Competition (Sr) while Japjot Singh also bagged the 1^st prize in Jr category in this competition. The 3^rd Centenarian, Prahlad Malhotra, Std. VIII and Prabhjot Singh of Std. X bagged the 1^st prize in the Jr and Sr category respectively, in the Hindi Declamation Competition and brought laurels to the school. In Zonal Hindi Poetry (Sr), Rasmeet Kaur of Std. XI won the 2^nd prize while Jasveet Kaur of Std. VIII bagged the 3^rd prize in English Poetry Recitation (Jr). Japjot Singh of Std. VIII did the school proud by winning the 1^st prize in English Extempore (Jr). Prahald Malhotra of Std. VIII won the 1^st prize in Hindi Extempore (Jr) while Gagandeep Singh of Std. X won the 3^rd prize in the senior category. In Punjabi poetry recitation competition, Prabhjot Singh X B and Sehajdeep Kaur X B won 1^st prize in senior category and Manpreet Kaur VIII A 1^st prize and Harjas Singh VI C won 2^nd prize in junior category.
