Guidelines For Parents
- Parents are informed that occasional remarks from the teachers are conveniently sent through the child’s diary and they can also do it likewise. So they should refer to the diary everyday.
- The absence of your ward from the school even for a single day is viewed with concern. He/She should not be encouraged to miss the school for trivial reasons.
- However, no pupil should be sent to school, if suffering from contagious or infectious disease or if there are such cases in their home.
- Parents should also see that the lesson and the home-work assigned are completed and the teacher’s remarks about the child’s progress, conduct and behaviour are attended to.
- Parents or Guardians are particularly requested to sign the Progress Report when so requested. Failure to do this may cause their children great inconvenience.
- The student should carry relevant books/exercise-books according to the time table for the working day. No extra books are allowed.
- Kindly check uniform and punctuality of your ward in the morning.
- Kindly inform the school if there is any change in the address and/or telephone number.
- Encourage your ward to take balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports. Limit viewing of T.V. strictly. Encourage your ward to watch only educational programmes and selective entertainment programmes.
- Monitor your ward’s working on the computer and internet.Keep the computer at home in such a place that you can keep a check on it.
- Children should not bring crackers, Holi colours, transistors, cameras, video cameras, i-pods, calculators, mobile phones etc. to the school. Bursting of crackers and playing with Holicolours is liable to lead to expulsion of a student from the school.
- Your ward should be instructed to be careful about his/her possessions. There should be a name tag on blazers and sweaters. Expensive articles should not be brought to school. Students are also not allowed to wear jewellery, gem stones and any thread in school. In case of violation of this rule, the articles will be confiscated. The school bears no responsibility for articles lost in school. In case of a loss, a letter giving details of the lost item may be sent to the Class Teacher.
- Strict adherence to school timings is a must. (7.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.) . The school gate will be closed at 7.30 a.m. after which no student will be allowed to enter the school premises.
- Students must obey and learn to respect their teachers as well as fellow students. They must refrain from using abusive, crude and rude language. Their mannerism must be polished, civilised & courteous. Make your ward understand the value of self-discipline, cleanliness and good health. Teach your ward to avoid eating at roadside stalls, to maintain personal hygiene, to eat balanced diet and to exercise daily.
- Use of Self Driven Vehicles to commute to school is strictly prohibited. A student flouting this rule may face suspension and even expulsion from school. Besides, they should not be seen loitering about or forming groups and indulging in brawls in the vicinity of school after 2.00 p.m.
- Pupils may be required to take part in various school activities, and when required to do so, participation will be deemed compulsory by the authorities.
- Provision is made for games, sports, athletics, judo & gymnastics.
- Pupils must attend games and other activities after school hours when required to do so. Participation in such circumstances will be deemed compulsory by the school authorities.
- Any pupil desiring to be exempted from P.T. or Games must produce a doctor’s certificate to the effect that she/he is physically unfit to take part.
- Only those pupils who have paid all school fee, are permitted to appear in exams.
Parents are expected to co-operate in the work of the school, particularly by enforcing regularity and discipline among their wards, by evincing interest in their progress and by extending the fullest encouragement to participate in school activities.
