Garden of useful plants’ at GTB 3rd Centenary

The Interact Club of Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School has launched a green project and setup a ‘GARDEN OF USEFUL PLANTS’ in a small corner of the school premises. Several useful plants i.e. Aloe Vera, Ajwain, Amla, Tulsi, Ashwagandha, Neem, Mint, lemon, Guava, Snake plant and Brahmi have been planted in the pots and soil. Beautiful and attractive pots which are used in the garden are made with waste material, used oil cans and discarded tyres. A big laminated board is placed in the garden bearing the names of the plants and their values. The placard with the common name and botanical name of each plant has been kept in the pot. The aim of this project is to create an interest and awareness among the young generation about the plants and their benefits. The ‘Garden of useful plants’ was inaugurated by the Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Surjeet Kohli along with several Rotary dignitaries who lauded the efforts of the young interactors. The garden will be looked after by the members of interact club.
